Comox Valley Search & Rescue is a fantastic and diverse group of volunteers who come from all walks of life. CVSAR volunteer for different reason and all pursue a variety of hobbies and occupations outside of SAR, but they all have one common goal, helping those in need when it matters most. What do you do outside of SAR for work/hobbies?
You are most likely to find me outside. My career as a professional archaeologist takes me to remote and urban settings. Most of my projects are on Vancouver Island but I work throughout BC. I specialize in identifying coastal culturally modified trees, interpreting shell middens, and respectful treatment of Ancestral remains and burial places. When I’m not working or searching, you can try to find me with my dog on the trails, on my mountain bike or on my skis.

An opportunity to give back to our community. And I get back from it as I have learned so much with the Comox Valley team.
